Stift Vorau

Augustinian canon monastery with library and baroque collegiate church of the order of the Vorauer canons in Eastern Styria.

The only Augustinian monastery in Styria that is still in operation. Especially worth seeing are the library and the sacristy of the high baroque monastery church. Set in the delightful landscape of the Joglland region, the monastery was established in 1163 to serve as a center of prayer, pastoral care, education, and culture.
