Riegersburg castle, the most impressive landmark of Thermen- and Vulkanland Styria, is located at a height of 482m on a steep former volcanic rock.
For over 850 years, Riegersburg Castle has perched on a 482m-high volcanic rock, surveying the surrounding Eastern Styria hill country. Reachable by foot, an inclined elevator, or, for the adventurous, via a climbing wall, the castle houses three museums. In addition, a bird-of-prey show can be seen daily in the near-by ornithological station.
