Water plays an important role in and around Fürstenfeld as can be seen by the many fountains scattered around the old town. The thermal capital is located right in the heart of Thermenland Styria and is surrounded by six thermal resorts.

Fürstenfeld is known for the biggest and most modern open air swimming pool in Europe. It is also a popular shopping destination and you can browse in the countless shops, boutiques, cosy cafés, pastry shops and inns to your heart’s content. Fürstenfeld is also known for its traditional festivity culture. At the fountain festival, the wine culinarium and at market fairs old traditions are still cherished.
