Puxerloch
Teufenbach-KatschShortly after Teufenbach, on the other side of the Mur, a vertical rock face with large cave niches rises about 100 meters above the valley floor on the right-hand side: the Puxerloch.
On closer inspection, you can see the remains of masonry from the road. These belonged to the Luegg and Schallaun cave castles built at the time. The cave itself is completely dry and gives rise to speculation as to what the people of that time used the individual parts of the cave for.
However, the fantastic view from the Puxerloch is worth mentioning. If you look down, you can still see some ruined walls that are not visible from the valley floor. If you turn around and walk towards the back of the cave opening, you will find a narrow passage leading to a small pool with natural spring water.
